mistaken facts

Even before the result of the impeachment of President Dilma was pronounced, the demonstrations, which until then were democratic and peaceful, began to spill the beans for violence. Not only in the streets, with protesters breaking and setting fire to public things, but on the social networks of the group at that time, friends, offensive discussions began on both sides. Just express an opinion for you to be called a coup, rightist, fascist and other unpublishable things. And what about the person primarily responsible for this political crisis that put PT ministers and treasurers in jail? What about the union “comrade” that took over and dilapidated Petrobras and got its hands on the workers' pension funds? Dona Dilma shouts that she had more than 54 million votes. She had... I dare say she won't have it anymore.

ridiculed

Senator Aécio Neves need not have done what he did. Complimenting President Dilma after her speech in the Senate is fine. But getting to exchange hugs and kisses was too much... the voters looked like a taxo.

striking the aggressor

It was a hit. But it was a perfect hit. I would say better: a jump on the chin of Lulupetismo that provoked the excesses in the state companies taking billions from the public coffers. The impeachment washed the souls of Brazilians outraged by the mismanagement that plagued the country. Brazil breathes.

time for the arts

Full schedule, but with space for a visit to the Gaudí exhibition. That's what Angela Amin did and all candidates should do the same. Who knows, they would bring an extra cultural taste to their governmental flags.

By the way

Tia Ângela, as her assistants call her, was one of the only ones to participate in the Divine Holy Spirit mass at the church of São Pedro, last Sunday in Barra da Lagoa. She arrived accompanied by her husband and son and helped in the singing of the “flag of the divine”.

Deny

Neném Alves was reluctant and did not accept an invitation to be a candidate. But his niece Luciana Araújo tries to get a seat in the City Council. Lu is Negão's sister (from Costelaria, isn't there!?) and is also known as Nega, but she doesn't use the nickname in this campaign.

from the womb

A girl tries to pick up a few bucks on the corner of the Majestic Hotel while doing belly dancing. As Floripa breathes dance at this weekend's festival, the “juggling” dancer is already putting on her show.

whales

TRF-4 lowered determination suspending whale watching. I don't think I would need to... this year they still haven't set their tails on the coast of Santa Catarina. And as the Franca whale season runs from July to September... maybe a little shake until September 23 when winter ends.

By the way

Last year whale watching was already weak. And there was that year of the big hangover when they didn't even show up. In the winter of 2015 I saw the first Franca entering Barra da Lagoa in July. This weekend at the beach in Mozambique where the South to South surfing championship takes place.... A good reason for the whales to put on a show.

Azoreanness

The Municipal Day of the Azorean is August 31st and will be celebrated today, therefore, by Casa dos Açores de Santa Catarina in the Festa do Divino Espírito Santo de Santo Antônio de Lisboa. The date chosen to celebrate the Azorean identity was to remember the Edict of King João V, of August 31, 1746, which authorized and urged Azoreans to migrate to southern Brazil.

Azoreanity II

To mark the date, today opens the exhibition Vestimentas dos Açores at Casa de Cultura Clara Manso de Avelar and the presentation of the books “Azores – who we are and why we are” and “Saberes e Sabores dos Açores” by Maria Orísia Melo and Conceição Melo Cabral during the Risotto of the Divine that will take place in the Hall of the Church of Santo Antônio. It's today... there's still time.
