Inauguration of the coverage of the Municipal Public Market was marked by a demonstration of health agents. The reason was not the new roof of the hall, of course, but the salary “coverage” of health personnel and the terrible condition of hospitals and emergencies in Greater Floripa. The government that says in an advertising campaign to be “take care of people” continues to keep its eyes closed on health. In the last 10 years the Capital exceeded 300 thousand inhabitants and not even a hospital was built by the government. We were lucky to have Medical Baía Sul coming from the partnership of two selfless doctors from Santa Catarina: João Zunino and Irineu Brockbeck.

But a pity. This is what we can call the new coverage of the Municipal Public Market. Or a real “thrombolho” that no longer allows patrons when sitting in the central bars to see the two towers. The project was chosen from more than 90 entries in an international tender. But what choice huh!? First they had to make an additive, because the transparent canvas of the tippers got too hot... the “illuminated” didn't see that. Nor did they see that part of the historic building was hidden from the geese.

Azorean music

Associação Coral de Florianópolis, with the support of Casa dos Açores de Santa Catarina, presents the first Azorean Circuit tomorrow, at 20:30, in the Church of Santo Antônio de Lisboa. The concert is a tribute to the Azorean settlers who arrived on Santa Catarina Island between 1748 and 1753, giving a peculiar face to the coast of Santa Catarina. The concert marks the first event of this project that will cover 10 more locations on the Island.
